Subject X proposes, from several portraits, to reflect on the idea of ​​representation in photography. The portrait functions as a starting point.
The work results in a site specific installation where the portraits are displayed in front of a light box, spaced apart, and an artist book.
In the installation, the way of seeing the translucent images rises the factor of randomness at the junction of the three portraits, depending on the location where the viewer is placed.
The artist book on the showcase, proposes a mixing device for 28 portraits, presenting thousands of possible combinations.
